Each year, a multitude of aspirants work hard for limited spots. To proceed with your journey, you must successfully finish the application process. Here’s a thorough guide to help you apply smoothly.

Step 1: Visit the Official Website

To initiate your application, visit the official website of the Bangladesh Public Service Commission (BPSC): www.bpsc.gov.bd. This is the sole portal for BCS exam announcements and applications. Stay cautious from unofficial websites.

Step 2: Download the Circular

Find the latest BCS exam circular under the “Notices”. The circular shares important information, such as requirements for application, application deadlines, examination syllabus, and other key instructions.

Step 3: Check Eligibility

Go through the requirements, which include age limits, educational qualifications, and citizenship requirements. The usual age limit is between 21 and 30 years for general candidates, but adjustments may be considered for specific groups such as freedom fighter descendants or disabled individuals.

Step 4: Register Online

Navigate to the official application form (Form 1). Fill in all necessary fields, such as your personal information, academic qualifications, and job preferences. Recheck for any errors. Providing false information can lead to disqualification.

Step 5: Upload Documents

You must upload a latest copyright-sized photograph (300x300 pixels, file size below 100 kilobytes) and your signature (300px x 80px, file size below 60KB). Confirm these are as per the guidelines mentioned in the circular.

Step 6: Pay the Application Fee

After uploading your application, you will be provided with a User ID. Use this ID to pay the application fee through Teletalk SMS services. The fee is usually 700 taka for general candidates and BDT one hundred for others. Follow the instructions provided in the circular.

Step 7: Confirm Submission

Once the fee is paid, you will receive a confirmation SMS with a payment confirmation code. Keep this ID for future reference. Access again the application portal to confirm the payment status.

Final Tips

Finalize your application well before the deadline to prevent last-minute technical issues.

Print a copy of the finalized document for future use, such as for printing the admit card.

By completing these steps, you can submit your form successfully for the BCS exam and get one step nearer your ambition in the Bangladesh Civil Service. Best wishes!
